Take all of me Devotional

Here is the latest devotional from Rebecca St. James. It is becoming more and more evident that the Lord wants every part of us - just the way we are now - for Him. He wants to be God, Father, Friend, Comforter, Provider, our Hope, and Lover of our soul - in every area of our lives.

I hope you take a moment to read Rebecca's thoughts below and think about them throughout the day and week. After you read the devotional, watch the Take All Of Me video and ask the Lord for the ability to hope and trust in Him in a bigger way. Feel free to print the following for use in your personal or small group bible study

"Jesus Christ, take my life, take all of me..." Sometimes in life it seems easier for us to put our hope in things other than God –'things' such as people, relationships, possessions, or money. But God challenges us and calls us to place all our hope in Him. Psalm 52:9 says: “I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good.” God knows that anything else we put our hope in is going to let us down! The Lord is our comfort throughout all seasons of life—that is what gives me hope. Hope for now, and for the future! Everything else will change, but He is unchanging. This truth brings so much hope—enough for me and you—to give Him all our trust. Enough for us to say with assurance, “God, take all of me!” -Rebecca Reflections: 1. Is there anything that I'm putting hope in rather than God? (You can list them here.) ___________________________________ ___________________________________ ___________________________________ ___________________________________ If so, then ask for more hope in Him. "Lord, you are my Provider and you can provide me with more hope and trust so that I can give it back to you. I want to trust you in this area of my life (be specific with Him) and so I release it to you and ask for more hope and trust in You alone." 2. On a similar note, are there places in my life that I have not fully given over to the Lord? If you're not sure, ask Him. "Lord, what area(s) of my life do you want from me today?" (You can list them here.) ___________________________________ ___________________________________ ___________________________________ ___________________________________ He wants to be in control so that you have more rest and more freedom. If you feel there's an area of you're life you'd like Him to have then give it to Him. "Lord Jesus, I give _________ to you right now. I ask you to take all of it and all of me for your Glory. 3. "Lord, thank you for your hope, your love, and for continuing to want to grow closer to me. I want you to have all of my life in your hands. I love you, Father God!
